Perched on the top floor of Southgate Melbourne, this premium event space offers sweeping views of the city’s skyline and iconic landmarks, including Flinders Street Station, Federation Square, and Princes Bridge. Inspired by the grandeur of a New York loft, the venue features a 17-metre dome ceiling, 9-metre-high windows, Mark Douglass Design pendant lights, brass bars, and marble finishes. With a flexible floor plan, cutting-edge AV technology, and an all-weather outdoor terrace, it is ideal for a wide range of events—from business meetings and conferences to weddings and social celebrations.

🚗 Arriving by Car

Exit the car park, take the lift to the “upper podium level”.
When exiting the lift lobby, turn right and proceed to the St Kilda Rd end of Southgate Precinct.
Pass The Deck Restaurant on your right, exit the Precinct and turn a sharp right.
The Metropolis Panorama entrance is on the exterior of the building opposite Quay West Suites.

🚆 Arriving by Train

Exit Flinders Street Station and cross the Southbank pedestrian bridge.
Walk the Promenade until you reach the Southgate complex.
Take the escalator to the Upper Level. Turn left at Blue Train Cafe and continue to the St Kilda Rd end.
The entrance is opposite Quay West Suites.

✈️ Arriving from the Airport

Take the SkyBus Express from Melbourne Airport to the city centre.
From there, take a tram or head to Southgate Avenue, between Quay West Suites and Hamer Hall.

🚋 Arriving by Tram

From Flinders Street Station, cross the Southbank pedestrian bridge and follow the Promenade to the Southgate complex.
Enter near Bear Brass, head up two levels, and go past The Deck Restaurant.
